Portland Food Project has very low overhead. We are a 100% volunteer-run organization and do not maintain office space. We use financial donations in two ways: 1) We purchase Winco gift cards that our partner pantries use to purchase food they need most. 2) Occasionally we also use financial support for basic operating expenses like purchasing green bags, pick up date reminder cards, and information for signing up new donors.
